
The Hyderabad Metro Rail has launched an end-to-end digital payment-enabled Metro ticket booking through the WhatsApp e-ticketing facility. It is the first Metro rail in the country to roll out a fully digital payment-enabled WhatsApp e-ticketing facility, said L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) Monday.
In line with the Indian government’s signature programme of Digital India and promoting the green way of commuting, L&TMRHL has joined hands with fintech platform Billeasy as its delivery partner for passengers to book Metro tickets through WhatsApp and enable end-to-end digital mode of ticket booking, a statement said.
- Red Line – Miyapur to LB Nagar via MG Bus Station, Nampally, and Ameerpet.
- Green Line – JBS Parade Ground to MG Bus Station via Secunderabad.
- Blue Line – Nagole to Raidurg via Secunderabad & Ameerpet.

Rules and Regulation
- If there is a seat available you can sit otherwise you will have to stand and no matter what, you should not sit on the floor of the metro rail compartment. Also, if you are not eligible you should not sit in the ladies, elderly and handicapped allotted seats. If you sit on the floor you may have to pay hefty fine.
- You cannot carry more than 10 kgs luggage for free of cost. However, you can pay one rupee per kg and carry upto 40kgs at once, not beyond that.
- In peak hours, you don’t have to wait in long queues. You can find a staff member with Portable Ticket Analyzer (PTA) machine and buy from them. People will be monitoring you 24*7.
- In Metro Station there are three areas, Public, Private and Platform. Anyone can go to Public areas but only people with tickets can go to private areas and then to platform.
- Even the smartcard holders can not stay for more than 2 hours in the station. Once you swipe your card, system will automatically update how long you have been in the station. You can have the required information after buying the ticket by using a reader.
- All the necessary information will be displayed as soon as you place the ticket on the machine. The most important people in Metro Station are Ticket Cash Management Officers. Matchboxes, lighters, gas cylinders, Petrol, Kerosene, knives of any kind even kitchen knife is not allowed in the Metro.
Rules Meant To Be Followed
1) You can spit in the premises of Metro Rail Station
2) Chewing Pan, Gutka & Tamba aren’t allowed
3) Smoking, Drinking Alcohol/Cool Drinks & Eating Snacks can’t be done
4) You can’t leave your belongings anywhere in the station premises
5) No entry for Pets
6) Smart Cards & Tokens can’t be shared with others
7) Transport of goods without the acceptance of security personnel is prevented
8) You can’t jump over Automatic Share Collection Gates
9) Not allowed to speak with the Driver without a proper reason
10) Hackers won’t be allowed inside Metro Stations
11) You shouldn’t remain close to the doors when the Metro Rail stops
12) Any Ticket can’t be reused
13) Security Equipment in stations can’t be tampered
14) Waste Materials must be thrown only in dustbins
15) For any help, Customer Service or Metro Staff in the station should be contacted.
16) Any kinds of misbehavior must be brought to the notice of security personnel
17) While travelling in Metro, You should be facing towards the direction the rail has been passing.
18) Maintain queue at ticket counters, automatic share collection gates and wending machines
19) Stay at a certain distance from the tracks while standing the platforms to catch the Metro Rail
20) You should vacate the stations soon after the announcement arrives in emergency situations.
Hyderabad Metro Map: Red Line
The Red Line is one of the metro rail lines in Hyderabad and part of the Hyderabad Metro, a rapid transit system. It is run by Hyderabad Metro Rail from all active metro stations in Hyderabad.

Single Journey Ticket (SJT):
This is a one way ticket from the station where you are located (source station) to your destination. Passengers can enter the paid area with a ticket. The ticket is valid only on the date on which it is issued. Passengers have to board the train within 30 minutes after buying the ticket.

Smart Card
Hyderabad Metro Rail Smart Card is a virtual wallet that facilitates you with seamless travel. A smart card can be purchased from a ticketing office at any of the Metro Station as per your convenience for Rs. 150/-.
Rs. 100/- of Rs. 150/- is towards the cost of the card which is not refundable and balance Rs. 50/- is your travel value. You can recharge your smart card with minimum amount of Rs. 50/- and maximum amount of Rs. 3000/-(in multiples of Rs.50).
All Hyderabad Metro offers will be applicable on smart card. Please note that in case your smart card is lost, stolen or damaged, you have to buy a new smart card and the balance amount will not be refunded or transferred
How to recharge Hyderabad Metro Rail smart card
You can recharge the smart card through TSavaari App, HMR Passenger website (www.ltmetro.com),or Paytm App
- Enter the 14 digit smart card number mentioned at the back of your smart card on TSavaari App, LTMRHL Website, or Paytm App.
- Choose the recharge amount from the drop-down list, click on ‘I agree’ check-box and tap on ‘Recharge’ button to proceed.
- You will be directed to payment gateway where you can pay through Paytm wallet, debit/credit card or net banking.
- After successful completion of payment, you will receive a confirmation message to your registered mobile number/e-mail.
- To check/view your balance you need to visit your nearby Metro station after 2 hours and check the details at Ticket Vending Machine (TVM) or Add Value Machine (AVM) by selecting prepaid top-up option. You have to tap the smart card at automated gates at the Metro station to complete the recharge process.
