Navi Mumbai Metro
As part of the rapid transit system for the Navi Mumbai area, the Navi Mumbai metro project is being implemented and helmed by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). The 23 km stretch of Navi Mumbai metro will comprise 20 metro stations. The entire project will be built at Rs. 4,163 crores.
Types of Ticket
Mumbai Metro provides Tokens and Smart Cards to passengers.
Tokens
- A token is a pre-paid ticket a passenger can purchase for a single journey. It is valid for a day, from the time of purchase to the end of operation hours of the day.
- Once you have entered the system, i.e. tapped the token in the paid area, you need to exit the same station within 20 mins or the destination station within 75 minutes.
Smart Card
- A smart card is an electronic card you can purchase from any Mumbai Metro station’s Customer Care counter. You need to pay a security deposit of Rs. 50 and recharge it with an additional Rs.100/200/300/500 or 1000.
- The journey cost (from one station to another) gets deducted from the card each time you tap the card on the exit gate.

Do stand towards the left side of the escalator, while moving keep right.Do follow instructions in the Lift and give preference to senior citizens and differently abled passengers. Do stand in queue at Ticket counters, AFC gates and Ticket vending machines.
Evacuate the metro station in case of an emergency. Limit your baggage to not more than 25 Kg.
Don’t carry any Inflammable objects, weapons, pets and heavy luggage to the metro premises.
Don’t abuse and misbehave with the metro staff.

Trip Pass is loaded with 45 trips which is valid only for 30 days from time of purchase/reload. Once Trip pass is purchased, origin and destination station cannot be changed. The security deposit of Rs. 50/- can be refunded as per applicable rules
