Passes and tickets will be added to Galaxy Watch with a Samsung Wallet update

Galaxy Watch owners can upgrade to Samsung Wallet because the smartwatch app supports viewing boarding passes, tickets, and more on their wrists. Along with the new Temperature app for the Galaxy Watch 6 and his WhatsApp for Wear OS, Samsung Wallet is also getting a pretty big update today with the announcement.
Samsung Wallet will soon support Galaxy Watch passports, tickets, ID cards, and more. Currently, the app only supports payments with linked cards. However, this update adds things like boarding passes for flights and compatible tickets.
While this is a major update, it’s not unprecedented smartwatch functionality. Apple Watch also supports viewing passes, but Google Wallet on Wear OS does not.
Samsung hasn’t specified where this will be available other than in the “new Galaxy Watch series.” This means it may launch first on the Galaxy Watch 6. However, the company notes that you need a Galaxy phone to use this feature, and also adds that it’s not available for all forms of ID.
