About

`Paraspar` meaning `mutual` is an immersive artistic journey showcased as a dance-music performance by two eminent artists – Parvathy Baul and Parwati Dutta. Parvathy Baul is an Internationally renowned Baul artist, musician, painter and educator who dwells into the deeper symbolisms of the philosophy of the Baul masters through her music and teachings. Parwati Dutta is a versatile Odissi and kathak dancer deeply involved in nurturing Gurukul-based centre Mahagami Gurukul over three decades in addition to actively engaging in teaching, performing, compositing, writing and generating social awareness in Marathwada region. Paraspar is coming together of two artistic streams – Baul music and Odissi dance weaving together the stories of devotion and Krishna consciousness through songs, Abhinaya, narration and rhythm.
