The “Sitar Rama Rao Utsav” through  “Shubhendra and Saskia Rao Foundation” is a musical tribute to the great legend.  Pt. Shubhendra Rao will perform a befitting musical tribute along with Tabla Maestro Bickram Ghosh. The 2nd half of the evening will feature by a concert by the living legend, flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia ji himself with Pandit Ravindra Yavagal on Tabla. Sitar Rama Rao dedicated his life selflessly to the promotion of the sitar whose life is an inspiration and needs to be celebrated and whose contribution to the cultural fiber of Karnataka should be duly acknowledged. It is with this thought that Sitar Ramarao’s family and disciples from across the globe have come together to celebrate his life and the everlasting values he stood for.
